'How Can I Play A Mother To Someone My Age?': Hiba Nawab Decides To Quit Jhanak Post 20-Year Leap

Hiba Nawab, who plays the titular role in the TV show Jhanak, has decided to quit the show as it is all set to take a 20-year leap. Hiba stated, "I won’t be a part of the show after the leap. I am not comfortable playing a mother to someone closer to my age." The show also stars Krushal Ahuja in the lead role.

Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja starrer Jhanak has been making it to the headlines for the past couple of months because of the reports of the show taking a leap. In February this year, there were reports that the show is taking a leap, and the lead cast will be changed. However, the leap was later postponed. But now, it is finally happening, and while there were reports that Hiba and Krushal will have to exit the show, the former, while talking to Hindustan Times, revealed that she is quitting the show as she can't play a mother to someone who is around her age in real life.

Hiba stated, “I won’t be a part of the show after the leap. I am not comfortable playing a mother to someone closer to my age. There were discussions, and we somehow knew it was happening, but the confirmation came a few days ago."

“Jhanak and Aniruddha’s daughter Arshi will grow up post-leap. The story will revolve around her, and obviously, someone closer to my age will be cast. How can I play a mother to someone my age? I am not comfortable,' the actress added.

Hiba Nawab On Criticism

Jhanak has been facing a lot of criticism on social media because of multiple reasons. While speaking about it, Hiba said that the crticism affected her confidence, and this is for the first time that she was facving so many negative comments.

Hiba Nawab Upcoming Projects

Hiba will wrap up the shooting of Jhanak in June first week, and she is looking forward to taking a break. However, she is open to do TV and OTT shows.

We are sure fans of Hiba and Krushal are going to miss them in Jhanak.
