Popular Haryanvi singer and rapper Fazilpuria had a narrow escape after unidentified assailants opened fire at him near Badshahpur, on the outskirts of Gurugram, on Monday (July 14).
According to media reports, multiple rounds were fired at Fazilpuria in what appears to be a targeted attack. He was present in his car when the attack took place. The singer, whose real name is Rahul Yadav, narrowly escaped unhurt.
Locals reports have also stated that unidentified assailants opened fire at the singer's car while it was on the Southern Peripheral Road stretch. Reportedly, the attackers managed to flee the spot. No injuries have been reported in the incident.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the local music community and among fans of the singer, who is known for hits Haryanvi chartbusters.
The rapper is believed to be friends with YouTuber Elvish Yadav, and his name had surfaced in a case related to the use of snake venom and snakes for shooting purposes.
Who is Fazilpuria?
Fazilpuria is best known for his work in Haryanvi and Punjabi music. He rose to fame with the 2014 superhit song Ladki Beautiful Kar Gayi Chull, which was later featured in Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan's Bollywood film Kapoor & Sons (2016).
