Guwahati Theatre Ceiling Collapses During Mahavatar Narsimha Screening, 3 Including Children Injured - Video Viral
In a shocking incident, the ceiling of a PVR theatre in Guwahati, Assam, collapsed during the screening of the film, Mahavatar Narsimha, on Sunday. The incident left three individuals injured, including children. Visuals have gone viral showing pieces of the broken false ceiling and glass shattered all over. The theatre has now been shut for inspection.

In a shocking incident, the ceiling of a theatre in Guwahati, Assam, collapsed during the screening of the film, Mahavatar Narsimha, on Sunday. The incident left three individuals injured, including children. Visuals from inside the theatre have now gone viral on social media.
The incident reportedly took place on Sunday night during the screening of Mahavatar Narsimha at PVR, Guwahati. While the audience were engrossed in the film, a portion of the false ceiling suddenly collapsed on them, leaving them aghast.
In the videos, broken pieces of the false ceiling and glass can be seen strewn all over, and people can be seen leaving their seats and standing near the aisle, confused. The screening of the film was immediately stopped, and those injured were given first-aid.
Three members of the audience, including children, reportedly suffered injuries.

The theatre staff helped the audience evacuate the theatre safely, and the venue has now been shut for inspection. An investigation has now been launched to assess the safety provisions of the theatre and the reason behind the structural failure.
PVR Cinemas and the management of the mall where the theatre is located are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
Meanwhile, Mahavatar Narsimha has emerged to be a surprise hit, and even after 10 days in theatres, the animated film shows no signs of slowing down. On Sunday, the film earned a whopping Rs 13.40 crore, and with that, the total box office collection of the film now stands at Rs 81.25 crore.
