Fazilpuria Firing Case: Man Spying On Haryanvi Singer-Rapper Arrested In Gurugram, Shot In Leg During Encounter

Haryanvi singer-rapper Rahul Yadav, alias Fazilpuria, was allegedly shot at on the Southern Peripheral Road in Sector 71, Gurugram, Haryana, on July 14, narrowly escaping after unidentified assailants opened fire. In the latest update, Gurugram Police have arrested a man named Ramandeep, who was allegedly spying on Fazilpuria.

Man Arrested For Spying On Fazilpuria

According to a report in NDTV, Ramandeep, a resident of Sira in Haryana, was shot in the leg in Manesar around 1:00 am following a brief encounter.

Man Claims Responsibility For Attack

Sunil Sardhania earlier claimed responsibility for the attack on Fazilpuria. In a social media post, he said that along with him, two more men were involved in the attack -- Deepak Nandal and Inderjit Yadav, and that Fazilpuria owed Rs 5 crore to Nandal.

According to reports, local cops arrested a man named Vishal, a native of Jajjal in Haryana’s Sonipat. He reportedly conducted a recce of Fazilpuria's movements and passed on the information about his schedule and whereabouts to the men who eventually fired rounds at him.

Rahul Fazilpuria Opens Up About The Incident

After the incident, the singer opened up about the incident and shared how it happened.

Speaking to ANI, he shared, "14 July ko mai Fazilpur apne office se nikla tha ghar ke liye nikla tha (On the 14th, I left Fazilpur for home). Aur by chance kayi baar mai akele hota hu uss din bhi akela tha aur uss din mere upar gaon ke peeche vaale road par Sector Ekhatar par goliyan chali jo ek white gaadi mein aaye the (And by chance I am alone many times, that day also I was alone and that day on the road behind my village, on the Sector 71, bullets were fired..they came in a white car)."

He added, "Jinhone pehle overtake kiya to maine dhyan nahi diya (I didn't pay attention when they overtook me) kyunki normally aage li thi but jab peeche dekh rahe the saare to mujhe andaaza hua kisi ne pehchaan liya toh uss tarah se dekh rahe the.. aage jaake unhone gaadi adayi aur fir bilkul overtake karke gaadi aage se rok ke road block karke unhone utarte hi bhagte bhaagte fire shuru kari."

However, he insisted that, initially, he couldn't understand what exactly happened. "At that time, I didn't understand what had happened. Initially, I thought it was them who threatened us during Sidhu Moose Wala's time... However, new angles are now emerging. That night, I received a call while I was appearing before the police. The person threatening me was using a Punjabi name, and I will reveal it when the time comes," the singer stated.
