Fazilpuria Firing Case: Man Claims Responsibility For Attack, Says Singer Owes His Friend ₹5 Crore

Popular Haryanvi singer and rapper Fazilpuria had a narrow escape from a major mishap after he was attacked near Gurugram on July 14. Unidentified assailants opened fire at the singer near Badshahpur, on the outskirts of Gurugram, and now a 25-year-old man has been arrested in the case.

According to reports, local cops arrested a man named Vishal, a native of Jajjal in Haryana’s Sonipat. He reportedly conducted a recce of Fazilpuria's movements and passed on the information about his schedule and whereabouts to the men who eventually fired rounds at him.

Vishal reportedly stayed in Gurugram for several days before the attack, and was in the city even on the day when the shooting incident took place.

Man claims responsibility for attack

Meanwhile, one Sunil Sardhania has claimed responsibility for the attack on Fazilpuria. In a social media post, he said that along with him, two more men were involved in the attack -- Deepak Nandal and Inderjit Yadav, and that Fazilpuria owed Rs 5 crore to Nandal.

"Deepak had invested Rs 5 crore in Fazilpuria so that he could be made a celebrity. After becoming famous, Rahul Fazilpuria, showing off his political status, has neither picked up the phone nor replied to anyone for the last two years. Other than this, we had no other option. Now this is a last warning: He should pay the money or else we have the details of 10 of his acquaintances and relatives who used to hang out with him," the threatening note on social media read.

While Fazilpuria is yet to react to the allegations and attack, reports claimed that he met Nandal while both of them were in jail in 2010.

Fazilpuria, whose real name is Rahul Yadav, shot to fame after his song, Kar Gayi Chull from Alia Bhatt, Fawad Khan and Sidharth Malhotra's film, Kapoor & Sons, was released in 2016.
