YouTuber Elvish Yadav claimed in a new video that alcohol was being sold in Jaipur despite a ban on its sale in the city post 8 pm. "Someone told us that an ‘aunty’ sells it. She was selling liquor by keeping a bucket on the roadside," he said. The Jaipur Police has now launched an investigation to verify his claims.

YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav has kicked off a storm once again with his new video, this time in Rajasthan. In a video, he claimed that alcohol was being sold in Jaipur despite a ban on its sale in the city post 8 pm, and the video has now forced the Rajasthan Police to launch an investigation.
It all began after a video of Elvish went viral in which he can be heard saying, "My friend needed alcohol in Jaipur, but he couldn't get it after 8 pm. Someone told us that an ‘aunty’ sells it. She was selling liquor by keeping a bucket on the roadside. Many people from Jaipur would know this."
He went on to say, "There is a place called Pratap Nagar where this aunty sits with a bucket. Uske paas addha-pauvva sab kuch hai... If anyone needs it, they can get it from her. I just helped all alcoholics!"

It is to be noted that back in 2019, the then-Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, had banned the sale of liquor in Jaipur post 8 pm. Jaipur police commissioner Biju George Joseph has also been asked to take strict action against those found flouting the rules.
As soon as Elvish's video went viral, cops got at work and launched a probe to verify the claims. An official from the Jaipur Police assured that action would be taken if the YouTubers claims were found to be true. They stated that while the video does not provide the exact location of the said 'aunty' selling liquor, they are conducting raids throughout the city to get their hands on those selling alcohol illegally post 8 pm in the city.
It was only a few days ago that an FIR was filed against Elvish by Rajasthan Police after he claimed in a video that he was being escorted by three police vehicles in the state.
