'Didn't Steal Anything': Tanishk Bagchi Says Saiyaara Title Song Is NOT Copied From One Direction, Jubin Nautiyal
Responding to the allegations, Tanishk Bagchi said that people look for opportunities to put him down. During an interview, he stated that they did not steam anything from One Direction or Jubin Nautiyal's song. "The similarities are fine, it can happen, but it's not like we did it on purpose," the music composer said

Music composer Tanishk Bagchi, who is currently enjoying the success of his latest song Saiyaara, has reacted to claims that the track is not an original. For those unversed, the team of Saiyaara has come under fire for the song's melody, which many listeners feel closely resembles earlier tracks like One Direction's Night Changes and Jubin Nautiyal's Humnava Mere.
Is Saiyaara title track a copy?
Responding to the allegations during an interview with India Today, Tanishk said, "Whatever I do, people will have something to say because they don't have anything better to do. They keep on looking for opportunities to put me down. But ultimately, the song will go wherever it's destined to, and that's what's happening with Saiyaara too."
Further opening up about the comparisons, Tanishk said, "If you look at the melody, the chords are the same. The A minor scale has just about 3-4 chords but every melody has a different soul. That doesn't mean that anything was stolen. Even if you can do that, it's really difficult to make it a hit."
"We didn't steal anything. The similarities are fine, it can happen, but it's not like we did it on purpose. Idhar se utha ke udhar nahi kiya (Didn't pick and add anything). We worked on the emotion of the song, and that worked. That's the magic of the track Saiyaara," he added.
The title track of Saiyaara has become quite popular with fans. Composed by Tanishk, the song's emotional tune and touching lyrics have connected with people. It is being used in reels, videos, and social media posts, especially for romantic or sad moments. The song has crossed 155 million views on YouTube.
