'Deeply Shocked, Horrified': Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar, Sanjay Dutt & Other Celebs Strongly Condemn Pahalgam Terrorist Attack

In a deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists opened fire on civilians at a popular tourist spot in Pahalgam, South Kashmir, around 2:30 PM on Tuesday. Twenty-six tourists were killed and several others injured in the attack. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah described the incident as "much larger than anything we've seen directed at civilians in recent years."

Several celebrities have spoken out against the recent terror attack and strongly condemned the incident.

Akshay Kumar took to his X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, Akshay Kumar: "Horrified to know of the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam. Sheer evil to kill innocent people like this. Prayers for their families."

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri: "OMG. OMG. OMG.Just landed in Chicago to learn about this inhuman tragedy. I had feared this for a long time. I’ve been saying all along — it wasn’t peace in Kashmir, it was a strategic silence. I urge @AmitShah ji to immediately safeguard both Kashmir and Bengal before another tragedy unfolds. I know their tactics."

Farhan Akhtar: "Deeply shocked and horrified by the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam. This senseless act of violence against innocent lives is absolutely inexcusable and must be condemned in the strongest possible terms. My heartfelt condolences go out to the families of those who lost their lives and I stand in solidarity with the people of Kashmir during this tragic time."

Sanjay Dutt: "They killed our people in cold blood. This can’t be forgiven, these terrorists need to know we are not staying quiet. We need to retaliate, I request our Prime Minister @narendramodi ji, Home Minister @AmitShah ji and Defence Minister @rajnathsingh ji to give them what they deserve."

Television actress Hina Khan, who belongs to Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, took to his Instagram story to condemn the attack.

Terrorism should not have any place in a civilized world and this dastardly act is unacceptable. My deepest condolences to the families who lost their dear ones and prayers for early recovery of those who are injured. Om Sai ram."
