Amid reports of international singing sensation Dua Lipa performing at the 2023 Cricket World Cup final between India and Australia, it is now confirmed that the artists who will exhibit their craft at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad are Pritam Chakraborty, Jonita Gandhi, Nakash Aziz, Amit Mishra, Akasa Singh, and Tushar Joshi. Besides that, Aditya Gadhvi who rose to fame with the track Khalasi will also be performing.
As per reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present for the match along with two former Cup-winning captains Kapil Dev and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who will be watching from the stands with a bevy of who's who from the world of entertainment and politics in attendance.
Jonita Gandhi is an Indo-Canadian playback singer, who gained popularity for her soulful renditions of both Bollywood and independent music. She started her singing career by posting covers on YouTube, which gained attention and eventually led to opportunities in the music industry. Over the years, she has collaborated with various composers and artists and sung popular songs like Chennai Express, The Breakup Song, Faraatta, and What Jhumka? to name a few.
Coke Studio's Gujarati singing sensation Aditya Gadhavi of Khalasi fame will also grace the stadium.
Earlier this month, Prime Minister Modi commended Aditya for his song, stating, "Khalasi is topping the charts, and Aditya Gadhvi is winning hearts with his music. This video evokes memories from a special interaction," as shared on X.
Additionally, PM Modi reposted a message where Aditya reminisced about their initial meeting. In the video, Aditya recounted the occasion when PM Modi, serving as Gujarat's chief minister at the time, attended his concert and expressed admiration for his work. Aditya mentioned that he was 18-19 years old during the past concert attended by PM Modi.
