Bigg Boss 18's Nyra Banerjee Reveals Casting Directors Found Her Perfect For South Films: 'Muh Par Bolte Ki Face & Figure...'
Nyra Banerjee, who has worked in South Indian cinema, revealed she initially joined law school due to her family’s lack of lawyers. Apart from law, she was passionate about dancing. Nyra also shared how casting directors often told her she was perfect for South films, saying, "I was a little voluptuous and yeh log bol lete hain muh par ki aapka face and figure South movies wala hai."

Television actress Nyra Banerjee, who has worked in South Indian cinema, revealed that she initially joined law school because no one in her family was a lawyer. Apart from law, she was passionate about dancing and aspired to become a dancer, often participating in inter-college competitions focused on dance and fashion shows, rather than acting.
Further, Nyra revealed how earlier casting directors found her perfect for South films due to her face and body. She added, "I always heard casting directors say, 'Tumhaara face and body South Indian films ke lie perfect hai.' I was a little voluptuous and not so skinny at that time. Yeh log bol lete hain muh par ki aapka face and figure South movies wala hai. I said that I don’t want to do it. I have never even seen a South film. A casting director took Sridevi and other legendary actor names, explaining how South Indian films are also good."

She revealed that when she went home and shared the offer with her parents, her father refused, and her mother suggested she forget about it, as they didn’t know anyone they could consult for guidance.
Nyra added, "They also said that if one of them is travelling with me to Mumbai and overlooking, then it’s worth giving a shot. Because astrologically, several pandits had already destined that this girl will definitely do something in the creative field, she is very good at fine arts. That’s how I did Kadambari, a Sanskrit TV show."
The actress revealed that South cinema is highly competitive, and when she started getting huge film offers and lead roles, she would turn them down to focus on her studies. People would tell her she was choosing studying over acting, questioning her decisions by saying, "You're leaving acting for studies. What nonsense?"
