Bigg Boss 18 Winner Karan Veer Mehra To Play Antagonist In Ranveer Singh's Don 3 After Vikrant Massey's Exit?

After a successful stint on television and winning the reality show, Bigg Boss 18, actor Karan Veer Mehra is all set for a big leap on the silver screens as reports have surfaced that he will be seen playing the antagonist in the upcoming film, Don 3, starring Ranveer Singh in the titular role. This comes days after Vikrant Massey reportedly exited the film.

According to a report in IANS, a source close to the film has confirmed that Karan Veer Mehra was approached to play the antagonist in Don 3, and there was no way that the actor could have declined the offer. However, he is yet to sign the dotted lines, and an official confirmation about the same is awaited.

Don 3 was announced with Ranveer as the lead a couple of years ago, but the project had been on the backburner since then. While Kiara Advani was earlier introduced as the female lead in Don 3, she stepped back after welcoming her first child, and now, Kriti Sanon has replaced her for the role opposite Ranveer.

Reports had also claimed that Vijay Deverakonda was approached to play the antagonist in Don 3, but he is apprehensive of his Bollywood projects ever since the failure of his film, Liger. Vikrant Massey too quit the film and turned down the role, reportedly stating that it was not meaty enough. And now, Karan Veer Mehra seems to have finally found the breakthrough he was waiting for.

Don 3 will be helmed by Farhan Akhtar, who also directed Don and Don 2, starring Shah Rukh Khan, in the past. The film is reportedly set to go on floors by the end of this year or early next year, and it is eyeing a 2026 release.
