Bhool Chuk Maaf Release Cancelled, Sitaare Zameen Par Trailer Launch Postponed; Here's How India-Pak Conflict Affected The Entertainment Industry
The ceasefire between India and Pakistan was announced on Saturday (May 10, 2025). However, last week, due to the conflict between the two countries many things in the entertainment industry were affected like Bhool Chuk Maaf's theatrical release was cancelled, Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par trailer launch was postponed, and more.

The India and Pakistan conflict that took place after Operation Sindoor affected the entertainment industry. A movie's theatrical release was cancelled, concerts were postponed, and more. So, let's have a look at a things in the entertainment industry that were affected because of the India-Pakistan conflict.
Bhool Chuk Maaf Theatrical Release Cancelled
Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer Bhool Chuk Maaf was all set to release on May 9, 2025. But, the makers decided to release the movie directly on OTT on May 16, 2025, due to the ongoing situation in the country. However, it won't be getting an OTT release this week, due to a legal tussle between the makers and PVR INOX.
Sitaare Zameen Par Trailer Launch Postponed
The trailer of Aamir Khan starrer Sitaare Zameen Par was scheduled to be out on May 1, 2025. But, due to the Pahalgam attack, the actor postponed it. Later, it was planned to be launched on May 8, 2025, but once again due to the India-Pak conflict, it was postponed. Now, the makers have not yet announced the new trailer release date. Meanwhile, the film is slated to release on June 20, 2025.

The makers of Kamal Haasan starrer Thug Life had planned a grand audio launch event on May 16, 2025, in Chennai. But even that event was postponed. Their statement read, "In view of the developments at our nation's border and the current state of heightened alert, we have decided to reschedule the audio launch of Thug Life, originally planned for the 16th of May. As our soldiers stand firm on the frontlines with unflinching courage in defence of our motherland, I believe it is a time for quiet solidarity, not celebration. A new date will be be announced at a later, more appropriate time."
Musical Concerts Cancelled Or Postponed
Many singers and music composers like Arijit Singh, Shankar Mahadevan, Papon, Usha Uthup, Rishab Rikhiram Sharma, and others cancelled or postponed their scheduled concerts due to the India-Pakistan conflict.
