After months of speculations, delays and hype, the cult daily soap, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, is finally set to return to television with a new season, but with the same iconic faces. Ektaa Kapoor dropped the first promo of the serial on Monday night, featuring Smriti Irani as Tulsi, and just a glimpse of her and the infamous doors of the Virani mansion was enough to send fans into a tizzy.

Interestingly, the promo of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi was unveiled at 10:30 pm, the exact time when the show used to air on television every day earlier. The promo began with a family discussing if Smriti Irani will return as Tulsi, and it then cuts to the actress-politician's shot. The doors of the Virani mansion open, giving a glimpse of the tulsi plant just like the iconic original theme song of the daily soap, and enters Smriti Irani, aka Tulsi, with folded hands and her trademark style.

"Zaroor aaungi, kyunki humara 25 saalon ka rishta jo hai. Waqt aa gaya hai aap se phir milne ka," Smriti can be heard saying as Tulsi, before signing off with a namaste.

Within minutes, the promo was splashed all over the internet, with fans going down memory lane and recalling their fondest memories of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Thi.

"I'm literally tearing up - my childhood is coming back! Beyond excited and feeling super nostalgic (sic)," an Instagram user commented.

The new season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi will premiere on July 29 and will air on TV daily at 10:30 pm.

A few days ago, as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi clocked 25 years, Smriti had penned a heartfelt note, thanking the audience for their support. "25 years ago, a story entered Indian homes and quietly became part of countless lives. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi wasn’t just a show—it was emotion, memory, ritual. A time when families paused everything to sit together… cry, laugh, hope," she wrote.
