'Ang Thirakne Lagta Tha': Rekha Talks About Amitabh Bachchan On Kapil Sharma's Show, Netizens Ask Her To 'Move On'

Veteran actress Rekha appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Saturday and during one of the segments, she was seen talking about megastar Amitabh Bachchan, albeit indirectly, without taking his name. However, her fans seemed to not like it, and they stated that it was high time she "moved on".

During the episode, a fan referred to Rekha's performance in the song 'O Sheronwali' from the film Suhaag, in which she shared the screen with Big B, and asked how did she perform dandiya so well despite being South Indian.

To that, without mentioning Bachchan's name, Rekha replied, "Ye sochiye main jinke saath dandiya kar rahi thi, woh kya shaqs the! Achha nahi khelungi toh kya karungi? Dandiya aati ho ya na aati ho, saamne aisa shaqs aa jaata hai toh khud hi ang ang thirakne lagta hai!"

While the audience cheered and hooted for Rekha, many netizens felt that she did not need to refer to Bachchan while answering the question. "Rekha Ji, for God sake move on," a netizen wrote, while another stated, "At this one she’s doing it to keep being talked about."

A netizen commented, "Why do they always ask or talk about him in front of her...why do she always make sure she mention his name?? If she is so inspired by him (this is what she said) why don't she actually work like how he is working at his age (sic)."

It may be noted that Amitabh and Rekha's relationship was one of the most controversial affairs in Bollywood. While Big B was already married to Jaya Bachchan, the news of his extramarital affair with Rekha made headlines, and is a much-discussed topic till date.

Reportedly, both the actors were head over heels in love with each other. However, the megastar always denied being in a relationship with Rekha.
