Telugu superstar Allu Arjun was arrested from his residence on Friday (December 13) in connection with the stampede which took place at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule. The incident happened on December 4 after hundreds of fans thronged the theatre to get a glimpse of the actor, who was present at the multiplex with his Pushpa co-stars to watch the film.
Unfortunately, a 35-year-old woman died in the mishap and her son was also injured.
Soon after Hyderabad Police arrested Allu Arjun from his Jubilee Hills residence, several Telugu actors reached his residence to be with his family.

According to Telugu Scribe, megastar Chiranjeevi, who is also Allu Arjun's relative, stopped his film shoot midway to reach Chikkadpally police station. However, cops requested Chiranjeevi not to come to the police station. In a now-viral video, film producer Dil Raju was spotted outside the police station.
It may be mentioned that Dil Raju was recently appointed as the Chairman of Telangana Film Development Corporation.
In a video shared by IANS on X, Chiranjeevi is seen at Allu Arjun's residence with his wife.
Political support has also poured in for the actor. Home Minister of State and BJP MP Bandi Sanjay, along with others, visit his residence.
The Hyderabad police registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team and Sandhya theatre management under sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), based on a complaint lodged by the deceased woman’s family.
According to reports, the stampede resulted from poor crowd management and a lack of safety measures at the venue, leading to chaos.
In response to the case, Allu Arjun filed a petition with the Telangana High Court on December 11, seeking to quash the FIR registered against him.
