Abir Gulaal Ban: Fawad Khan, Vaani Kapoor's Khudaya Ishq Song REMOVED From YouTube India In Wake Of Pahalgam Terror Attack

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan was all set to return to the Indian screens after 9 long years with his upcoming film with Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor, titled Abir Gulaal. However, the film has now been banned in India after the ghastly Pahalgam terrorist attack. And in the latest development, the songs of the film seem to have been taken down from YouTube India, in tandem with the boycott calls.

The makers of Abir Gulaal had so far released two songs from the film -- a romantic track titled Khudaya Ishq and a peppy dance number called Angreji Rangrasiya. However, the songs have suddenly gone missing from the official YouTube channel of the production house, A Richer Lens Entertainment.

Not just that, but the songs have also been taken down from Saregama's YouTube handle, despite the label having the official music rights of the film.

The makers and the actors have not reacted to the songs being removed from YouTube.

Vaani, Fawad condemn Pahalgam attack

It is to be noted that Vaani has also deleted her video with Fawad Khan from the promotions of Abir Gulaal, which she had posted on April 22, on the day of the Pahalgam attack.

Meanwhile, the actress has been receiving severe backlash on the internet for working with Fawad, and netizens also trended '#BoycottVaaniKapoor' on Wednesday. Not just that, but the actress was also questioned for her silence on the Pahalgam attack, before she finally penned a note on Wednesday night, reading, "Have been numb, at a loss of words since the time I have seen the attack on innocent people in Pahalgam. Gutted. Devastated. My prayers are with the family (sic)."

Fawad too condemned the attack in Pahalgam and wrote, "Deeply saddened to hear the news of the heinous attack in Pahalgam. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this horrifying incident, and we pray for strength and healing for their families in this difficult time (sic)."

Abir Gulaal ban

Abir Gulaal has been scheduled to release in cinemas on May 9, 2025, but the possibility of that looks meek now, given the strong opposition from the people of India.

President of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), BN Tiwari, stated that they won't let Abir Gulaal to release in India, and action will be taken against the makers if they try to do so. Indian Film & Television Directors' Association President, Ashoke Pandit, declared that Indian artists will be boycotted from the industry if they work with Pakistani arsists.
