The grand oath-taking ceremony of the Mahayuti government took place on Thursday evening at Azad Maidan, with a large presence of Mahayuti leaders and workers from across the state. As Devendra Fadnavis took his oath as the chief minister, the venue resonated with chants like “Deva Bhau, aage badho, hum tumbhare saath hain, ek hain toh safe hain, batenge toh katenge,” creating an energetic atmosphere.
The event also witnessed the presence of Ladki Bahin beneficiaries, film celebrities and Koli women, who became a major attraction during the ceremony.
In an intense battle between the Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi, the state voted on November 20, and the results were declared on November 23. The people of Maharashtra, with over six crore voters, delivered a clear mandate in favor of Mahayuti.
Despite the results being declared on November 23, it took 12 days for the oath-taking ceremony, which was finally held at Azad Maidan. After Devendra Fadnavis took the oath as Chief Minister, the Koli women performed a traditional dance, offering their unique blessings to him.

Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, and his son, Anant Ambani and Tata Trusts Chairman Noel Tata were also present. Other film industry celebrities like Sanjay Dutt, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Jackie Shroff and Arjun Kapoor also attended the event. Former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was also present at the ceremony.
Dabbawalas and tribal women Among the notable attendees were Mumbai's iconic Dabbawalas, who made it a point to be present at the ceremony. Additionally, tribal women from Palghar district were also present, showcasing the diverse support for the Mahayuti government at the event.
