WBJEE Results 2025: Merit List, Scorecards To Be Released On August 7; Check Details

WBJEE Results 2025: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has announced that the WBJEE 2025 results will come out on August 7, after the delay due to a court case over the state's revised Other Backwards Classes (OBC) list, according to the PTI report.

The move follows the Supreme Court on July 28 staying the Calcutta High Court's previous order, which had suspended the enforcement of a fresh OBC list notified by the West Bengal government. The interim stay by the High Court had prejudiced the reservation system, affecting 140 OBC subcategories and causing administrative obstacles in releasing results.

Caste Certificate Upload Window Open Until August 2

With the legal ambiguity cleared, the WBJEEB has reopened its portal for allowing candidates to upload caste category certificates that are updated from July 31 to August 2. According to officials, data uploaded will be verified and merged into the final merit list prior to publication.

“We are sure the process (of uploading details) will be over by the stipulated time and the results will be published on August 7,” the WBJEE chairperson said, as reported by news agency PTI.

WBJEE 2025: Exam Conducted on April 27

The WBJEE 2025 entrance exam was held on April 27. After declaring results, aspirants can log in to the official website — wbjeeb.nic.in — and download scorecards, with subject-wise marks, overall score, and eligibility status, Merit lists, with overall ranks and names of top performers. The results will be a determining factor in the admission process for undergraduate engineering and technology programs in colleges all over West Bengal.
