UP Scholarship 2025-26: Online Registration Begins; Check Eligibility & Important Dates

UP Scholarship 2025-26: The Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Department has begun the online application process for the UP Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship 2025-26. State students pursuing studies in different government or private institutions can submit their applications through the official website at scholarship.up.gov.in from July 2 to October 30, 2025.

To finish the scholarship application, students will require Aadhaar or PAN card, income certificate, birth and domicile certificate, previous year mark sheet, caste certificate (in case of SC/ST candidates), fee receipt, scanned copy of bank passbook, passport-size photograph, and enrollment number.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered, the student should be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh and already studying in a college or school in the state. Family income should not be more than ₹2.5 lakh for General, SC, and ST categories and ₹2 lakh for the OBC category. There is no income limit for students engaged in some sanitation-related occupations.

Step 1: Go to the official portal: scholarship.up.gov.in

Step 2: Press the appropriate Pre-Matric or Post-Matric registration link.

Step 3: Fill in the registration form with the correct details.

Step 4: Complete the application form and attach the documents.

Step 5: Print the filled-in application form by downloading it.

Step 6: Send the printed application form and documents to your school/college.

July 01 – October 05, 2025: Preparation of master data by institutions

July 02 – October 15, 2025: Verification by District School Inspector

July 01 – December 14, 2025: Marking of minority private institutions on NSP portal

July 02 – October 30, 2025: Student registration and online application

July 03 – October 31, 2025: Final printout generation by students

July 03 – November 04, 2025: Submission of hard copies (with documents) to school/college

July 03 – November 06, 2025: Online verification of forms by institutions

November 07 – November 15, 2025: Physical verification of students by District Inspector

November 07 – November 17, 2025: Initial scrutiny by NIC

November 18 – November 21, 2025: Correction of error-filled applications

By November 23, 2025: Resubmission of corrected forms by students

November 18 – November 26, 2025: Resubmission and forwarding by institutions

November 27 – December 08, 2025: Re-scrutiny of forms by NIC

November 18 – December 24, 2025: Data locking by district-level committee

December 27, 2025: Demand generation

December 31, 2025: Scholarship fund disbursement
