TN TRB Recruitment 2025: Eligibility criteria

Educational Qualifications (based on the post applied for):

Post Graduate Assistant (Academic & Language Subjects):

Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree

Computer Instructor Grade I:

Same qualification as Post Graduate Assistant

Physical Director Grade I:

Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) with minimum 50% marks

OR

Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) with at least 2 years duration

Special Schools (for Visually/Hearing Impaired Candidates):

Postgraduate degree with 50% marks

B.Ed. in Special Education

Age Limit (as on 1 July, 2025):

General Category: Maximum 53 years

SC/ST/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC/Destitute Widows: Maximum 58 years

TN TRB Recruitment 2025: Selection process

Step 1: Tamil Language Eligibility Test (Qualifying in Nature)

- Duration: 30 minutes

- Total Questions: 30

- Total Marks: 50

- Minimum Passing Marks: 40%

- Note: This is a qualifying exam; only those who pass can appear for the main exam.

Step 2: Main Written Examination (OMR-Based)

- Duration: 3 hours

- Total Questions: 150

- Total Marks: 150

- Syllabus Includes: Subject knowledge, Educational methodology & General awareness

- Only candidates who clear the language test will be allowed to appear.

Final Selection:

- Based on performance in the Main Written Exam ensuring a fair and merit-based process.
