Tamil Nadu TET 2025 Registration Begins At trb.tn.gov.in; Check Eligibility, Application Fees, & Steps To Apply
TNTET 2025 registration is now open at trb.tn.gov.in from August 11 to September 8. The Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test will be held on November 1 and 2, with Paper 1 for Classes 1–5 and Paper 2 for Classes 6–8.

TNTET 2025 Registration: Eligibility criteria
For Paper I (Classes I–V)
Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
For Paper II (Classes VI–VIII)
Graduation and passed/appearing in final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed/appearing in B.Ed. (as per NCTE norms).
Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in a 4-year B.El.Ed..
Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).
Candidates with a B.Ed. degree approved by the NCTE are eligible.
Those enrolled in NCTE/RCI-approved teacher education programmes listed in the NCTE Notification dated August 23, 2010 are eligible.
Age Criteria
Minimum age: 18 years as on 01.07.2025.
No upper age limit.
TNTET 2025 Registration: Application fees
General candidates: ₹600 per application.
SC, SCA, ST, and differently abled candidates: ₹300 per application.
Fee payment only via online mode through Payment Gateway (Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card).
TNTET 2025 Registration: Steps to apply
Step 1: Go to trb.tn.gov.in, the official website of TRB TN.
Step 2: On the home page, click the link to apply online.
Step 3: Candidates must submit their registration information on a new page that opens.
Step 4: Log in to the page after completing the registration process.
Step 5: Complete the application and pay the required amount.
Step 6: To download the site, click the submit button.
Step 7: Save a paper copy of it in case you need it later.
TNTET 2025 Registration: Selection process
Selection is based on a written examination.
The exam will have 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
Duration: 3 hours.
Exam date, time, and venue will be mentioned on the hall ticket.
The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) will upload hall tickets for eligible candidates on its official website.
TNTET 2025 Registration: About TNTET
The purpose of TNTET is to evaluate applicants for teaching jobs in Tamil Nadu schools in Classes 1 through 8. Those who want to teach Classes 1 through 5 should use Paper 1, and those who want to teach Classes 6 through 8 should use Paper 2.
