Study In UK: 25 Dean's Excellence Scholarships for the 2025 September intake have been declared by the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow for overseas students who want to study an undergraduate degree in the UK. Each scholarship, worth £5,000 per academic year, is meant to assist promising students who are undertaking full-time undergraduate courses with their fees.
These scholarships will be awarded entirely on merit, rather than on the basis of need. Indications of academic potential, such as previous or existing academic achievement, recommendation letters (in the case of non-standard qualifications), and participation in extracurricular or personal development, will be considered by the institution when assessing candidates' UCAS applications.

Eligibilty criteria
Open to self-funded international students paying overseas fees.
Applicants must be enrolling in a full-time undergraduate programme within the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences.
Awards are based on merit, not financial need.
Assessment is made using information in the UCAS application, including:
- Academic performance (current and/or previous)
- Academic references (for non-standard qualifications)
- Responses to UCAS form questions
- Extra-curricular involvement or personal development
All international offer holders are automatically considered—no separate application is required.
Scholarship holders must enrol for September 2025 intake and maintain all eligibility criteria throughout their studies.
Only one scholarship per academic year can be awarded per student from the University of Strathclyde.
£5,000 is awarded annually for the duration of the course, provided the student remains eligible.
Scholarship recipients will be expected to take part in student ambassador activities, including support for recruitment events.
The Faculty’s decision is final on scholarship awards.
