SSC Launches Upgraded 'My SSC' App for Seamless Govt Job Applications | My SSC App

In a significant digital overhaul, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has introduced a new mobile application 'My SSC' to streamline and make the recruitment process easier and more secure for government job seekers all over India. The My SSC app is now available on the Google Play Store for download, providing candidates with an independent and trustworthy platform to apply for SSC exams.

Created with Cubastion Consulting Pvt. Ltd., the latest version of the app was rolled out on 2 June 2025 and is loaded with new security and ease-of-use features. These are:

- Aadhaar-linked OTP authentication

- One-time registration

- Face recognition through the Aadhaar Face RD app

This new system is designed to eradicate impersonation and increase trust within the hiring process, particularly for Group B and Group C jobs. Job aspirants are enrolled just once with their Aadhaar number, authenticate their identity through an OTP sent to their Aadhaar-registered mobile number, and undergo facial authentication to get a UID token—a safe digital identity that needs to be produced at test centers along with the registration ID.

"This is a national milestone. We are launching Face RD integration in SSC for the first time at this scale. This will substantially cut impersonation and enhance trust in our recruitment systems," stated S. Gopalakrishnan, Chairman of SSC, as reported by news agency ANI.

Adoption Till Now:

- 40,000+ applications already submitted successfully

- 2 lakh+ in progress

- Anticipated total applications: about 30 lakh
