SSC JE 2024 final vacancies out at ssc.gov.in, 1701 posts to be filled
Candidates must submit their option-cum-preference via the SSC website by December 13, 2024.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the final vacancies list for the SSC JE 2024. Candidates can check the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical) Examination, 2024 final vacancies notice on the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.
SSC JE 2024 Final Vacancies: 1,701 Posts to be Filled
According to the final vacancies list, a total of 1,701 posts will be filled. These include 322 posts for the SC category, 165 for the ST category, 480 for the OBC category, 171 for the EWS category, and 563 for the Unreserved category.
The Commission has also opened the window for candidates to submit their option-cum-preference for SSC JE 2024. The last date to submit the preference form is December 13, 2024. Candidates who appeared in Paper-II must submit their option-cum-preference for posts/organizations via their respective login pages on the SSC website, under the "My Application" tab.
Candidates who fail to submit their option-cum-preference by the deadline will not be given any further opportunity to do so and will not be considered for inclusion in the final merit list or selection.

The Paper-II examination was held on November 6, 2024. The provisional answer key and results are awaited. The exam was conducted in CBT mode, with a duration of 2 hours and a total of 100 questions, carrying a maximum of 300 marks. There is a penalty of 1 mark for each incorrect answer. The paper covered questions from General Engineering (Civil & Structural), General Engineering (Electrical), or General Engineering (Mechanical), depending on the candidate's stream.
