SSC CHSL 2024: More Than 3,900 Vacancies Announced, Check Exam Pattern & More

The tentative list of vacancies for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination 2024 was released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on December 12. Up to 3,954 positions will be filled during the hiring process. Those who took the SSC CHSL 2024 exam and passed the second round must use the official website, ssc.gov.in, to submit their preferences.

The SSC CHSL 2025 will take place in July or August of 2025, as per the SSC exam calendar 2025.

About the exam

The SSC CHSL 2024 exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit candidates for various posts like Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO).

The Tier 1 exam was held from July 1 to 11, 2024, and the Tier 2 exam was conducted on November 18, 2024.

Tier 1 is an online objective test with four sections: General Intelligence (50 questions, 50 marks), English Language (50 questions, 50 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (50 questions, 50 marks), and General Awareness (50 questions, 50 marks). The total duration of Tier 1 is 60 minutes.

Tier 2 is an online descriptive test with two sections: Essay Writing (50 marks) and Letter/Application Writing (50 marks), with a total duration of 60 minutes. Additionally, a Skill Test/Typing Test is conducted for certain posts, including a Data Entry Speed Test for Data Entry Operator posts and a Typing Test for Lower Division Clerk and Junior Secretariat Assistant posts.

The salary structure for different posts under the SSC CHSL exam varies, with the basic pay ranging from Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 25,500.
