NEET PG 2025 Fake Postponement Notice Circulates On Social Media; PIB Alerts Medical Applicants
A fake notice circulating on social media claims that the NEET PG 2025 exam has been postponed to August 17, 2025. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has issued a warning, confirming that the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has not made any such announcement. Aspirants are advised to rely only on official sources for accurate information.

NEET PG 2025: The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has alerted against a false notification doing the rounds on social media that the NEET PG 2025 exam has been rescheduled to August 17, 2025. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the body conducting the NEET PG exam, has not made any such announcement. PIB Fact Check verified the same in an X (formerly Twitter) post.
The notification was marked as false information. PIB also requested the aspirants to ignore the fake notice and only depend on authentic sources of information. For verified and correct information, students should refer to the official NBEMS website www.natboard.edu.in.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) officially released the exam date for the NEET PG 2025. As stated in the formal notification published on March 17, 2025, the examination will be conducted on June 15, 2025, in the computer-based test mode in two shifts.
The examination consists of 200 questions, all multiple-choice, each having four options in English. The candidate must select the best, correct, or most appropriate answer from the options given. The duration of the test is a total of 3 hours and 30 minutes. 4 marks are awarded for a correct response, while an incorrect response deducts 1 mark. There is no penalty for unattempted questions.
The NEET PG 2025 test will provide admissions for 12,690 Master of Surgery (MS), 24,360 Doctor of Medicine (MD), and 922 PG Diploma seats in various institutions such as those falling under the All India Quota (AIQ), state quotas, deemed/central universities, and private colleges.
