Mumbai: A special court under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has held a 56-year-old tuition teacher, Sanjay Ghadigaokar, guilty of sexually harassing a girl student in 2020 when she was 13 years old.
He has been sentenced to three years in jail, with a fine of Rs 20,000. As per the girl’s testimony, on February 22, 2020, she sat on the first bench and the teacher touched her on her thighs. He later asked her if she liked his touch.
