Candidates interested in participating in the programme can register on the website at viksitdelhiyuva.org.

Stipend and Duration

Every selected intern will be paid a stipend of ₹20,000 per month for the period of internship of three months, offering financial assistance as well as valuable learning exposure.

Selection Process

All applicants need to apply online. The criteria for selection would be assessing the candidate's leadership skills, civic awareness, and knowledge of administration.

As many as 300 candidates will be invited to take part in a one-day boot camp, where there will be interactive sessions, workshops, and a concluding round of essays. From the participants, 150 interns will be selected for the programme.

Internship Structure: Three Phases

The internship will be structured in three phases:

Interns will initially undergo training on the workings of the government of Delhi and be introduced to major policy domains.

- Field Assignments

In the second phase, the participants will be sent to all 70 assembly constituencies of Delhi. Their task will be to identify the local problems and suggest practical solutions.

Policy Drafting and Departmental Work

In the final phase, the interns will be placed in government departments, where they will prepare policy papers on 10 key governance issues. The best two policy drafts will be submitted directly to the Chief Minister.

“For our young friends, this is not just an internship it is a golden opportunity to work alongside the Delhi Government and help shape the future of our capital. It is a pledge to redefine good governance through public participation. True progress in Delhi is only possible when the youth become part of the system and actively drive change from within. Our government doesn’t just seek their participation we are committed to integrating their ideas into our governance model," the Chief Minister of Delhi posted on X.
