The CLAT Second seat allotment list 2025 is available to candidates who enrolled for the counselling process prior to the deadline. According to the CLAT 2025 second allotment list, fees must be paid by 1 pm on June 9, 2025. Within the allotted period, candidates must choose whether to freeze, float, or remove their seats from subsequent counselling rounds.

CLAT Counselling 2025: Documents required

Applicants must upload the following files in order to fulfil the requirements for admission and ensure a spot in the assigned NLU:

- A copy of the CLAT 2025 application, CLAT results, Class 10 and Class 12 grade sheets, and CLAT admission card 2025

- Caste certificate, if applicable

- A specific ability certificate, if applicable

- NRI certification, if applicable, supported NRI certification

- If applicable, a certificate of domicile

- Recent passport-size pictures taken by CLAT authorities were included in the call letter.

CLAT Counselling 2025: Freeze, Float, and Exit option

Candidates have three options during CLAT counselling: freeze, float, or exit. The following is an explanation of these options:

Freeze Option: A candidate may choose the freeze option if they are happy with the seat they were given and do not want to participate in any more counselling rounds. By choosing this, the candidate eliminates themselves from candidacy for further counselling rounds and guarantees their spot at the selected National Law University (NLU).

Float Option: Candidates who are unhappy with their assigned seat and would like to go through additional rounds of counselling may opt for the float option. This permits expressing preparedness to participate in future counselling rounds for possible seat upgrades while accepting the existing seat. The previous allocation is lost if a candidate who chooses to float is given a seat in a later round.

Exit Option: A candidate may select the exit option if they choose to stop taking part in the counselling process. By choosing this option, the applicant leaves the counselling process and their name will not be taken into consideration for any further counselling sessions.
