Kerala KEAM Rank List 2025: Kerala Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has released a new rank list for KEAM 2025 admissions after the Kerala High Court ordered the recent alterations in the ranking process to be annulled.
Court Quashes New Mark Consolidation Formula
The revision follows the Kerala High Court's strike down of the amendment to clause 9.7.4.(b) of the KEAM prospectus. The clause had incorporated a new formula for mark consolidation, which had caused widespread panic, particularly among students from the CBSE board.
The court favoured Hana Fathima, a CBSE student who had moved a petition against the last-minute revision of the ranking criteria. The High Court noted that such a significant change at the last stage of admission was not justified and fair.

Background: Controversy Over Mark Consolidation
The Kerala government initially published KEAM 2025 results using a new mark consolidation formula, claiming it addressed long-standing concerns from state syllabus students. However, the move triggered objections from students in other educational boards, primarily CBSE.
After the court ruling, the previous amendment was revoked, and the rankings were reworked according to the initial methodology.
