CBSE Class 10 Social Science Exam 2025 Paper Analysis: Teachers and Students views

Manisha Pundir, Social Science Subject Coordinator, VidyaGyan School, Sitapur said, "The CBSE Social Science paper for Set 1 was balanced, with subjective questions that were mostly simple and clear. While the objective questions were reasonable, others needed exact knowledge of concepts due to the tightly worded MCQ options. The map-based component concentrated on a few specific chapters, and the case-based questions were consistent with the CBSE sample paper for 2024-25."

A student Richa Pandey said, "Section D's subjective question about the sustainability of development from Economics piqued my curiosity. We had studied the same issue in class, and a similar question arose in our pre-board exam, so I felt well-prepared and confident."

Another student Smita Patel shared, "A number of MCQs were difficult because the choices were so close, but overall, the paper was uncomplicated, with most questions being straightforward."

Anvi Choudhary from Maharaja Agarsain Public School said, "My set was 1st one and I personally feel mcqs were tricky and difficult too, it took very much time. Paper was easy to medium and it wasn't lengthy too. Theory and competency-based questions were very easy and one can score fully in theory and case studies. One was able to find the concept from the book directly but 4-5 questions were indirect and were extremely challenging for me. I finished my exam 20 min before. Overall the exam was nice and easy and one can expect 95+ from this exam."

A student Aashi said, "The paper was of moderate difficulty. Some of the multiple-choice questions were tricky and required careful attention, but the subjective section was relatively easier. Most of the questions were from Geography and Economics, while there were no direct questions from Civics and History. The map work was simple, but the case study section was somewhat challenging. Overall, I am expecting to score above 85 marks."

Disha Dutt from St. Thomas Sahibabad said, "I had set B, I'm still processing Everything that happened, the exam had a total 32 questions, the exam was lengthy beyond my expectations, honestly I found the exam to be easy. The B section was definitely the toughest but I felt like I was well-prepared.

One question was really tricky and had a 150-word limit and it really made me think hard but I did answer it quite well. I felt like the time allocated for the exam,3 hours in which 15min of reading time wasn't appropriate but I managed my time pretty well, but I felt a bit rushed during the question-answer part as they had a word limit of 150 words in most of the question, overall I would give the exam rating 8/10, and I am looking forward to see my result!"

Abhijeet Kumar from DTEA Senior Secondary School said that "the overall difficulty level was moderate. The multiple-choice questions (MCQs) quite simple. However, the long-answer questions were challenging for me. I mostly struggled in the History section."

CBSE Class 10 Social Science Exam 2025 Paper: Passing marks
