BPSC 71st Recruitment 2025: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has enhanced the total number of positions for the 71st Integrated Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2025, from 1,250 to 1,264. The increase follows the creation of 14 newly sanctioned positions for the highly desirable rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), according to an official update provided on June 16.
The amended vacancy list was issued after the Home Department (Police Branch), Bihar, Patna, submitted an official requisition to the Commission requesting the addition of DSP positions. This is the first time DSP roles have been advertised for recruitment under the present BPSC 71st CCE announcement, which previously did not include any DSP or Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) positions.

The revised figure of 1,264 positions includes crucial administrative and departmental positions from diverse industries. The allocation of vacancies is as follows:
1. Senior Deputy Collector: 100
2. Financial Administrative Officer: 79
3. Labour Superintendent: 10
4. Sub Registrar / Joint Sub Registrar: 3
5. Sugarcane Officer: 17
6. Block Cooperative Officer: 502
7. Block Panchayati Raj Officer: 22
8. Block SC/ST Welfare Officer: 13
9. Revenue Officer: 45
10. Block Minority Welfare Officer: 459
11. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Newly Added): 14
12. Total: 1,264
BPSC 71st Recruitment 2025: Application window
The process for submitting online applications for the BPSC 71st CCE 2025 began on June 2 and will run until June 30, 2025. Those interested should apply through the official BPSC website, bpsc.bihar.gov.in. No offline applications will be allowed.
