Bihar: Principal & Teacher Killed As Tree Branch Falls On Their Scooter While Heading To School In Muzaffarpur; VIDEO Surfaces

Muzaffarpur (Bihar), January 27: A tragic accident occurred in Bihar's Muzaffarpur in which a female teacher and a headmaster were killed on Monday, January 27. The tragic incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. It can be seen in the video that the principal and the teacher were killed after a tree branch fell on them while they were on their way to school. The incident occurred on the Sheohar State Highway at around 9 AM in the morning when the tree branch fell unexpectedly on the road.

How the Incident Occurred

The headmaster and the female teacher were travelling on a motorcycle from Muzaffarpur to Taleempur Middle School. The headmaster was riding the bike, while the teacher Vishakha was seated behind him. On their way, a truck hit a tree on the roadside, causing one of its branches to break and fall onto the road.

Unfortunately, the branch struck the passing motorcycle. Vishakha died on the spot due to the impact, while the headmaster Phool Kumar sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

As per reports, Phool Kumar succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital.

Incident Caught On Camera

A video of the incident has gone viral on social media. It shows the moment when the truck hit the tree, causing the branch to fall. The motorcycle was caught in the accident as the branch suddenly came down.

About the Deceased Teacher

Vishakha, the teacher who lost her life, was originally from Banda district in Uttar Pradesh. She had been working at Taleempur Middle School since November 2023.

Police Action

After the accident, police arrived at the scene and sent the body for a postmortem at SKMCH. The family of the deceased teacher has been informed. According to the police station in-charge, Kumar Santosh Rajak, legal action will be taken based on the family's request.

This unfortunate incident highlights the need for better road safety measures and regular maintenance of roadside trees to prevent such tragedies.
