Leading textile and apparel conglomerate Raymond Limited confirmed a cyber-attack on its IT infrastructure last month. The company swiftly isolated affected systems to safeguard core business operations, ensuring no disruption to customer-facing platforms or store networks. The conglomerate has notified India’s cybersecurity agency, CERT-In, of the security breach.
Raymond Group’s Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, Rakesh Darji, assured that its retail and physical store operations remain unaffected. While the regulatory filing did not disclose details about the threat actors or confirm any ransomware involvement, the company stated that “necessary precautions and protocols” were activated to mitigate the impact.
Raymond Ltd’s real estate division had earlier reported a cybersecurity incident affecting some of its IT assets. In regulatory filings, the company stated, "A cybersecurity incident has occurred at the company, impacting some of the IT assets, which have been isolated." It further clarified that customer and store operations were up and running normally.
"The company is investigating the matter, and appropriate containment and remediation actions are being taken in a controlled manner to address the incident," the filing said.
Raymond reassured stakeholders that its critical manufacturing and retail systems remain secure, with no significant service disruptions reported. Cybersecurity experts, along with internal IT teams, are conducting forensic analysis to assess the attack’s entry points, duration, and potential data exposure risks.
