Mumbai: The IPO of 3B Films, a maker of Cast Polypropylene (CPP) and Cast Polyethylene (CPE) films, has seen a mild response from investors on its second day. The SME IPO, which opened on May 30, 2025, was subscribed 1.13 times by 11:25 AM on Monday, as per BSE data. Investors had placed bids for 72.42 lakh shares against 64.08 lakh shares available.
The IPO includes a fresh issue of 35.4 lakh equity shares and an offer for sale (OFS) of 31.9 lakh shares. The company aims to raise Rs 33.75 crore. The price is fixed at Rs 50 per share. Retail investors need to invest at least Rs 1.5 lakh for one lot of 3,000 shares. For HNIs, the minimum is Rs 3 lakh for two lots.
The grey market premium (GMP) for 3B Films IPO was around Rs 3 on Monday, with shares trading at Rs 53, slightly above the issue price. This indicates a small 6% premium in the unofficial market.
The IPO will close on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Share allotment is expected to be finalised by Wednesday, June 4, and the shares will likely be listed on the BSE SME platform on Friday, June 6, 2025. Maashitla Securities is the registrar, and Nirbhay Capital Services is the lead manager of the issue.
3B Films, started in 2014, makes packaging films for food, clothes, flowers, and other consumer goods. Its films are used in flexible packaging and high-end thermoforming. The company also exports to countries like Dubai, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and some African countries.
From the fresh issue money, 3B Films plans to spend Rs 4.43 crore on capital expenses, Rs 7.15 crore on working capital, and Rs 4.43 crore on general business needs.
