Sidhi (Madhya Pradesh): After over a year of continuous campaigning by local YouTuber Leela Sahu, gravelling work has finally started on the 10-km road stretch connecting Khaddi Khurd to Gajri village.
The initiative, which had long been a demand of the villagers, is now being executed under the personal expenses of Churhat MLA Ajay Singh Rahul.
According to reports, the entire project of constructing the road is being undertaken by MLA Ajay Singh Rahul under his personal expenses.
YouTuber Leela Sahu raised the issue on social media multiple time and demanded from the Prime Minister, Transport Minister and local MP Dr. Rajesh Mishra for the construction of a road from Khaddi Khurd to Gajri village for last 1 year.
“We are concerned about this road. Once it is built, patients will be able to reach hospitals on time and children won’t have to miss school,” said Leela Sahu.

Leela Sahu said, "After continuous rain, an attempt was made to bring an ambulance to the house in the past few days, but due to mud, the ambulance could not reach the house".
There are six pregnant women in the village, including Leela. The people of the village are happy with the gravelling. The road is approved and work has already been initiated. Meanwhile, Ajay Singh said that he has made alternative arrangements.
Earlier this month, MP Rajesh Mishra had responded to her appeal, stating, “If she gives us the delivery date, we will get it done before that,” in a reference to Sahu’s pregnancy.
