Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 29-year-old advocate lost his life in a road accident when his car rammed into an electric pole in the Chitrakoot Nagar area of the state capital early on Monday morning.
The accident occurred around 2:30 AM amid rain and light fog, said Chhola Mandir police.
According to the police, the deceased, identified as Chetan Thakur, was a resident of Chitrakoot Nagar Phase-2 and practiced law in the Bhopal District Court.
Investigating officer Shivendra Mishra said that Chetan was returning home from Nadra bus stand when the incident took place. Due to rainy weather, the windshield was misty, severely affecting visibility. The car veered off the road and collided with an electric pole near the Chhola Mandir police station.
Chetan was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. A case of unnatural death was registered and the body handed over to the family after post mortem examination.
IO Mishra said that Chetan was the only son in the family. His father had passed away earlier, after which his mother secured a job in the Railways on compassionate grounds. His two sisters were married and Chetan lived with his mother. The family had recently begun looking for a suitable match for him.
