Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): A woman along with her new lover allegedly poisoned her former lover to death in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district, as reported by police on Monday.
According to information, the incident took place under Rannod police station area. The victim has been identified as Mithun Chandel, a truck driver and a resident of Bedamhow village.
A few months ago, he became friends with a woman named Sapna Jatav from Uttar Pradesh through Instagram. Sapna had earlier left her husband and was living with another man in Ashoknagar. Later, she moved in with Mithun in Kolaras, where they lived in a rented house.
While Mithun was away on a trip, Sapna reportedly started getting close to Mithun’s cousin, Indu Chandel. Their relationship grew stronger, and Sapna began distancing herself from Mithun.

According to Mithun’s mother, Masla Chandel, Mithun returned home one day in a serious condition and told his family that Sapna and Indu had given him poison. His family rushed him to the hospital in Kolaras.
Here he gave a statement naming Sapna, Indu, and others involved in the crime. He was then referred to the district hospital but died late Sunday night.
Police have registered a case on the matter and started an investigation. Based on Mithun’s statement and the family’s complaint, a murder case may be registered against Sapna, Indu, and others.
