‘Why Don’t They Say Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Vande Mataram?’ Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswati Opposes Non-Hindu Entry In Mahakumbh Mela (WATCH)
He mentioned that getting back these ancient sites is the rightful right of the Hindu community.

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswati of Dwarka Shardapeeth has called for preventing non-Hindus from entering the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
He questioned, “When they don’t say Bharat Mata ki Jai or Vande Mataram, why should they be allowed to enter the Mahakumbh?”
Shankracharya further said that the Kumbh Mela is a grand religious fair for Hindus, centered around Ganga bathing, offering prayers to Lord Hanuman, and worshiping gods and goddesses. There is no reason why non-hindus should participate, he added.

He went on to say that those who do not respect or practice these traditions should not be allowed int the Kumbh. His statement pointed out that individuals who do not say “Vande Mataram” or “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” should not be allowed to take part in such a holy event.
In his remarks, Swami Sadanand Saraswati also touched upon the history of India, stating that during the Mughal rule, mosques were built on the sites of Hindu temples. He mentioned that while many lands were available, the Mughals intentionally destroyed Hindu temples to construct mosques. He stated that the current excavation work on ancient Hindu sites is not wrong.
He mentioned that getting back these ancient sites is the rightful right of the Hindu community.
The Shankaracharya’s remarks have stirred debate about preserving cultural practices and the inclusivity of religious gatherings like the Mahakumbh Mela.
