Viral Video Shows Mob Vandalising Liquor Shop Looting Cash Box In Jabalpur; Demand Its Closure

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Around 50 people vandalised a liquor shop in Jabalpur, demanding that the shop be shut down on Monday.
The incident is of Jabalpur's Kundam area during a Tribal Day programme.
A video of the incident has been widely shared on social media, showing people throwing bottles and creating chaos in the area.

According to information, the crowd, which had gathered for the event, broke into the shop, damaged property, and took away cash and liquor bottles.
According to reports, the trouble started when some people at the programme raised the demand to close the liquor shop located near the venue. They said such shops cause problems in the community and should be shut down. The argument soon turned into violence, and the crowd moved towards the shop.

The shop owner later lodged a complaint with the police.
Police from Kundam police station have started an investigation into the matter. They are checking CCTV footage and questioning people to identify those involved in the vandalism and looting.
The incident has created tension in the area, and locals have urged authorities to take action against the accused. They have also repeated their demand for closing liquor shops near residential areas and public event venues.
