Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a dramatic event, a drunk youth climbed top of a mobile tower in Bhopal’s Barkhedi area on Friday, causing chaos among people.
Fortunately, the man did not sustain injuries and was rescued by police on time.
However, the man is under police custody at present and being interrogated. Police will take further actions on the basis of the findings.
According to information, the youth was identified as 33-year-old Vivek Thakur, a resident of Bhopal's Aishbagh area.
At around 2 pm on Friday, he started to climb a mobile tower in an intoxicated state. He climbed the same for about 20 minutes to reach a significant height and kept trying to shake it. Seeing him climb, a huge crowd gathered around the tower.

Youth under police custody
As soon as people noticed him, they informed the police and the Municipal Corporation. After sometime the teams from Municipal Corporation, Police and SDRF teams reached the spot.
ASI Rajendra Yadav of Jahangirabad police station said that as soon as the information was received, the police immediately reached the spot and took the matter under control.
The police and rescue team engaged the youth in conversation and brought him down safely at around 2:40 pm.
At present, the police have taken the youth into custody and started further action.
