VIDEO Shows Panicked Groom Jumps Off Baggi & Runs For Life After Bikers Opens Fire In MP's Gwalior

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Panic gripped wedding guests after two bikers opened fire at the groom during his 'baraat' (marriage procession) in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior. The alert groom bent down on time and saved himself.

The firing was caught on the CCTV cameras located at the roadside. The visuals show the baraat passing by with all lights and the band and groom seated in a decked-up baggi (horse cart). Suddenly, two miscreants arrive on bikes and target the groom. They fired multiple gunshots at him. They missed the shot as the groom bent down. The groom and the wedding guests ran for their lives amid the ruckus. The miscreants, too, fled.
Police reached the spot and, after investigation, started searching for the miscreants on the basis of the complaint of the groom's father and CCTV footage.
According to Janakganj police station in-charge Vipendra Singh Chauhan, groom Sachin Pandey's baraat was on the way to the wedding venue on Monday night. As the procession reached near Chhatri Mandi Nag Devta temple at 9 pm, two masked miscreants arrived on a bike. The rider pillion took out his pistol and fired a shot targeting Pandey. The miscreants missed the shot and fled. Meanwhile, there was panic among the guests.
