Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Former Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan extended his wishes on the 79th Independence Day this Friday. He paid tributes to the martyrs and freedom fighters and their sacrifices for the nation's Independence.
Chouhan took to X (formerly Twitter), he called out the nation's people and urged them to support local artisans, self-help groups, MSMEs, and domestic manufacturers by purchasing Indian products for daily use.

Swadeshi culture brings self-reliance
He emphasised on the country's self-reliance, which requires 'Swadeshi'. In the video, Chouhan stated, "Today, our economy is the fourth largest in the world, but we have to reach number one. To achieve this, we must strengthen our local economy."

“I will also buy Swadeshi, you too will buy Swadeshi. Come, let us pledge to be Swadeshi.” Chouhan further added.
Chouhan hoists tricolour in New Delhi
On Friday morning, Chouhan hoisted the tricoulour at his New Delhi's residence. He expressed his pride for the national flag and wrote on X, "Tricolour is our pride, Tricolour is our honor, Tricolour is our self-respect."
