Sagar (Madhya Pradesh): Two sisters have been caught working as government teachers, one in primary and the other in secondary school—under the same name and using the same documents in two different districts.

According to officials, a complaint was received at the Commissioner’s office on November 17, 2021. It alleged that two women, both using the name Rashmi Soni, had secured teaching jobs with forged certificates. Acting on the complaint, the Joint Director of Public Instruction, Sagar Division, set up an inquiry committee to investigate the matter.
The investigation found that both sisters had been appointed using the same mark sheets, caste certificate, and domicile certificate. One was posted as a secondary teacher in the Pathariya block of Damoh district, while the other was serving as a primary teacher in Sagar district.
After confirming the allegations, Joint Director Manish Verma ordered the dismissal of Rashmi Soni from Damoh and directed officials to file an FIR against the sister posted in Sagar. However, she has reportedly gone missing after the inquiry concluded.
The case has raised serious concerns about the recruitment and document verification process in the education department. Officials have assured that stricter measures will be taken to prevent such frauds in the future.
