Morena (Madhya Pradesh): Two accused were arrested for shooting at uncle and nephew, Mahendra and Saurabh Bhadoria. The police apprehended the suspects, within 30 hours of the incident.
According to police report, the suspect's vehicle collided with the victim's car, prompting a chase. During the confrontation, the suspects opened fire, killing both men instantly. The accused confessed they were transporting stolen diesel and shot the victims out of fear of being caught.
The police registered a murder case against the accused and utilised CCTV footage and witness statements to identify the suspects. This led them to Veeru and Govind Khatik, who were taken into custody in Porsa city.
Authorities recovered two pistols and the vehicle used in the crime from the suspects. Reports indicate that Veeru has a history of drug use.
He allegedly buys stolen diesel and sells it in rural areas. On the day of the shooting, he was returning from purchasing diesel when the collision occurred, culminating in the tragic deaths of Mahendra and Saurabh Bhadoria.
SP Sameer Saurabh suspended Dharmendra Gaur, the in-charge of Singhonia police station and the beat officer from Bhaikhan Ka Pura. This action comes after they failed to control crime and gather timely information in their area.
