The villagers have demanded immediate repair of the school building and the safety of the students.
"The wall collapsed directly towards the forest, where violent wild animals are often spotted. This has increased the risk for the students and teachers." said a concerned local resident.
Principal Adiram Bharti said, "The main part of the building is intact, but the toilet and the wall towards the forest have collapsed."
When asked about the building's prior repair and maintenance work, Bharti said that the education department had not been informed earlier but he would now escalate the matter. District Education Officer Sudhir Saxena could not be contacted over the phone.
Parapet collapses
