Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has also entered the fray over the non-drawal of salary of 50,000 employees of the MP government.
TMC MP Sagarika Ghosh sent a post on social media that 50,000 ghost staffers led to a scam of Rs 230 crore, but ED, CBI and I-T were in a dormant state.
The washing machine is doing its duty, she wrote.
Similarly, the leader of the Opposition in the MP House, Umang Singhar, also took the government to task over the issue. According to Singhar, they are either on unpaid leave or they have been suspended. The employee codes of these staffers are active, Singhar said, adding that it means their salaries may be drawn anytime.

Singhar has thanked the commissioner of treasury and accounts for exposing such a serious issue. The government is probing the case through the Integrated Financial Management and Information System (IFMIS).
The probe has revealed that there are many employees whose salaries have not been drawn for a long time. Now, the IFMIS is trying to find the names of the employees who did not get their salary and since when they were without a salary.
