Tiger Attacks Two Herders Searching For Lost Cattle In Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve; One Critical

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Two cattle herders were injured in a tiger attack in Bandhavgarh tiger reserve on Wednesday

The incident occurred on Wednesday morning in the Panpatha Range of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve. One of them is seriously hurt.

According to information, the incident took place near Rani Machan in the Gangital area when the two herders — 38-year-old Brajbhan Singh and 17-year-old Aditya Singh — entered the forest to search for their missing cattle.

Their animals had wandered off on Tuesday afternoon and didn’t return, so the two men, along with another herder, went looking for them early the next day.

While they were deep in the forest, a tiger suddenly jumped out from the bushes and attacked. Brajbhan suffered injuries to his back, waist, and neck, while Aditya was hurt on his hand. The third man was unharmed.

Local villagers quickly reached the spot and informed the Forest Department. Both injured men were taken to the Manpur Health Center.

Doctors said Brajbhan's condition is more serious, but both are now stable and out of danger.

Forest officials have urged locals not to enter the jungle for safety reasons, warning that such attacks could happen again.
