Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Police arrested habitual offender Jitendra Ahirwar (32), resident of Prempura in Kamla Nagar and recovered a stolen car valued at Rs 7 lakh, Habibganj police said here on Tuesday.
According to police reports, a complaint was lodged by Brajmohan Rathore, a resident of Vishankhedi. On August 11, his driver Ajay Meena had parked the vehicle near 6 Number Stop.

While Ajay was resting, an unidentified person allegedly removed the keys from his trouser pocket and drove away with the car. On August 12, police received a tip-off that a white car matching the stolen vehicle’s details was parked near Sanchi Corner near 1100 Quarters.
A man inside was reportedly offering it for sale at a low price. Acting on the information, the police surrounded the spot and apprehended the suspect. During questioning, the accused confessed to stealing the car from 6 Number Stop.
Police records revealed that Ahirwar has cases registered under Arms Act (Kolar) and charges of assault and intimidation (Govindpura).
