Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): A shocking revelation was reported from Madhav Tiger Reserve on the International Tiger Day. MT-1 tigress that was missing for weeks and was found dead last month, was poisoned by poachers.
According to reports, State Tiger Strike Force (STSF) has arrested Saujiram Mongia, a member of the inter-state poaching gang, from Shivpuri.

Saujiram, reportedly, confessed in the court that he killed the tigress by poisoning her. His name had earlier surfaced during the interrogation of his relative Dauji Bhil, who had already been arrested.
MLA Devendra Jain, on the other hand, has asked for the location and photos of all the tigers of Madhav Tiger Reserve during question hour in the assembly.
He alleged that the tiger has been hunted in Madikheda area, but the forest department is hiding the truth. The park management, however, has denied allegations that MT-1 was hunted.
Earlier on June 4, Shivpuri, Bhopal and Sheopur units of STSF arrested three accused on Sheopur-Karahal road and recovered about 225 wildlife organs (bones) from them.
After this, The investigation led to the arrest of three more accused, resulting in Saujiram Mogia's confession, and confirmation of the tigress’s death.
